Wow that's the first the I've ever heard someone complain about either of those. The colour thing is obviously due to the overcast day the photo was taken because I usually get no end of compliments. And arch gap, well that's just personal preference regarding practicality of not having the tyres scrub the guards every time I hit a bump. It's stock suspension.

Sorry for any offence those two things stand out to me , id prefer the car lower & the wheels in high silver but that's not a criticism , purely personalMangozac wrote: ↑Sun Mar 03, 2019 9:36 amWow that's the first the I've ever heard someone complain about either of those. And that's fair enough as personal preference. I'm ok with that. I was just showing the OP another valid wheel option to consider. I wasn't expecting to be derided for it (that's aimed more at Angelus666). Saying "no offence" and then saying something offensive is still a bit rude.

It's probably the angle of the shot, but suggesting those wheels with that picture would actually put me off even considering them. Look back over the other suggestions and even the pic in Mr Wilks signature....all of those options look much better IMO.

Indeed, each to their own. I'll have to get some better photos for when I share in the future.

On which subject, I have a set of Eibachs in my garage (two of which are still attached to dampers). You’re welcome to them once we’ve worked out the logistics of covering the 1000km between them and you!Mangozac wrote: ↑Sun Mar 03, 2019 9:36 amWow that's the first the I've ever heard someone complain about either of those. There’s a weird visual effect in your photograph as it almost looks like the rear wheel has positive camber, but the wheel and car colour combo looks great.
Z4MC - heavily fettled for track use
Lotus Exige - sensible daily driver on the mods slippery slope
Westfield SEiW - in hibernation
Modified RS4 Avant - back in Blighty
S2000 GT - gone

Cheers mate, I forgot about your offer for the Eibachs! I'll have to do some more research into them to see if the drop won't be too much with the wheel offset.BMWZ4MC wrote: ↑Sun Mar 03, 2019 10:14 am On which subject, I have a set of Eibachs in my garage (two of which are still attached to dampers). I like that colour combo too - had it with my roadster and was tempted to get my CSLs refurbed in anthracite. Silver Grey is quite a bright silver/blue in good weather, so there are no issues with contrast (especially in Queensland!).
Arch gap generally equates to suspension travel so you makes your own choices there. It’s a precious commodity on Z4s - our wheel arches are tiny and the cars are surprisingly heavy. If you look up into the arches of a lotus or recent Porsche GT they are cavernous.
Lampposts and fences are miraculously straight though.

Rectilinear correction. Check out my sweet front neg in this...

“Rectal linear correction” just sounds painful

I love the standard Z4M wheels. I think they loook great and 18" seems to suit the suspension. The Z4M is a classic now, why tart it up?
