Good evening,
I have an intriguing one, and looking for any ideas...
Just woken my car up, car started perfectly, not even a hint of hesitation and she fired up after being sat for over 4 months. Left it to idle for approx 10 minutes and the rev counter lights to dissappear.
After this I started to notice light steam/vapour coming from the 2 grilles either side of the underbonnet bmw emblem.
I have a video showing it here:

Any ideas what may be causing this?

Steam on waking it up.
I have the same thing when I start my Mk2 golf up for the first time in a while.
I've always assumed it's just moisture evaporating as the radiator heats up as it always just rises from where the radiator/fan is, then stops after a while

Steam on waking it up.
Could be condensation, check the coolant level after you've run it to make sure?
