From the video, it looks almost as if your NSR wheel remains on the wet bit as you turn in and bounce, so may have contributed to the spin no matter what.

Haven't been back to Combe for years, but used to stay at either the Castle Inn or Manor House when I did...as I hate early starts :P

Looks like the rear became unweighted on the entrance..

That was a great bit of driving,i dont think that the Z could go around there much quicker.. :driving:

Thanks for posting OP.

It looks like you had a great time - apart from the early bit. Just shows how quick a sorted Z4M can be - and it sounded fantastic!

Love to see Z’s on the track. I was at the track recently in my E85 and gave a 911 fright as well, longing for a M model though, be awesome. I see you run arc 8 wheels, are they staggered or a square set up?

Used to chase 911s and supercharged Golf VR6s around Combe in my old Corrado VR6.

What was surprising to both of those was how a lightly modified car could keep up with & outbrake both a 'sports car' and a supercharged Golf with over 100bhp more :P

Mainly I think it was the foot-in all the way out of Camp to Quarry (and only breaking AFTER Avon Rise) - although you couldn't do that at the Z4M's speed.

We did have one guy in his company-leased VR6 4-motion, that tried to follow me through Hammerdown in the wet, to end up on the back of a recovery truck with every panel on the car bashed up :o

looks fun! do you think your second slide was due to following the SVs pace? rather than handling limits you had previously discovered?

Amazing video...those guys in their £200k machines must have thought wtf was going on with this little Z4 chasing them down the track. Brilliant stuff!

You should put on a track day for a few Zers and teach folk the limits of the car!

This is a brilliant idea - track days would be much more appealing if more were attended/restricted to 'like minded' individuals.
