"You need to try harder too, £285 from BMW for fronts, £168 for rears"
That's pretty keen prices - which BMW location is that?

BMW Coventry quoted front 430 and rear 280; quite a difference!

It always surprises me when people are looking for bmw parts and will go to places like ECP and ebay to buy "OEM" stuff (which when it comes to many parts they are not to that standard) yet won't even ask BMW for prices of their OE stuff which comes with a 2 year fitted warranty and can be quite often cheaper.
There are some dealers that like to sell parts and some that don't, find a good one and you should get competitive pricing. HF, Cotswold and a few others are always worth trying.Monster666 wrote: ↑Sat Jan 12, 2019 3:57 pm BMW Coventry quoted front 430 and rear 280; quite a difference!

Well, all ordered from Harry Fairbairn BMW in Kirkcaldy. I got an alternative quote from Rybrook, Warwick & Online Automotive.
Front discs for my Z4M £142.80 each and rear £93.02 each including VAT & postage. This was £130 cheaper than Rybrook. OA were front £174 each and rear £70.75 each but not OEM.
Thanks to you guys for steering me in the right direction and Adam Harley in Scotland

Funny that a set of front brakes can be cheaper than those plastic cover things for the roof

Thanks Monster666 for posting the prices, I've just ordered front discs, pads and sensor and got them for the same price. Much cheaper than anywhere else, just need someone to fit them now lol!Monster666 wrote: ↑Wed Jan 16, 2019 12:56 pm Well, all ordered from Harry Fairbairn BMW in Kirkcaldy. Shaun, I took mine to the ZED Shed ( look him up on FB or message me if you need a number ) and Mike fitted them while I waited. He also made up some new brake pipes to replace some that were corroded.
The driving difference was amazing. I've owned my car since new and you don't really notice as things change slowly but clearly as the discs wear they do not wear evenly. They are big lumps of metal and having nice shiny new balanced ones fitted brings a grin every time I drive the car.
