The driving difference was amazing. I've owned my car since new and you don't really notice as things change slowly but clearly as the discs wear they do not wear evenly. They are big lumps of metal and having nice shiny new balanced ones fitted brings a grin every time I drive the car.

No worries, one final point is I also bought replacement bolts for fitting the discs - there are surprisingly few of them and don't cost much.

Is it a full set of replacement bolts that I need then? You would have thought the discs would have come with bolts! bloody BMW cheapskates lol!

That's what I got - there's only 2 a disc I think; fronts are different to rear
