Disagree there. The steering feels a little heavier and more responsive. Any tracking issues with the runflats disappear when in sport especially when motorway driving.

Are you saying BMW went to all the trouble of 'firming' the steering as you put it but then decided to tell no one about it :? And no one else can notice any difference either... It's not me, it's them :D

In contrast to the descriptions in the Owner's
Manual for the BMW Z4, please take note of the
following differences for your BMW Z4 M Roadster/Z4 M Coupe.
At the touch of a button, the Dynamic Driving
Control's Sport mode enables you to drive your
BMW in an even sportier style:
The engine responds more spontaneously to
any motion of the accelerator pedal.
Activating the system
> Car at standstill:
With the key in position 2, press the SPORT
button.
The LED in the button comes on.
> While driving:
Press the SPORT button.
The LED in the button comes on.
The system is activated when you release
the accelerator pedal.
Deactivating the system
Press the SPORT button again.
The LED in the button goes out

I think you're not talking about an E85/E86 M, but with your E89 right?

The Sport button puts the steering rack into placebo mode. :driving:

I really loved Joel’s Z4m Coupe review, I just wish he didn’t say that he felt the Z4m Roadster steering responsiveness changing with the Sport button because he immediately lost any credit he had in my mind. I’m not joking, I really enjoyed his previous z4m review, but now I won’t be able to believe anything he says about a car after this Sport button thing...

Joel, make yourself a favour and take this video down, I’m serious mate. (Or just edit it out)

Well, exactly! I can totally believe that if he thought it would make a difference, it would feel like it made a difference. The placebo effect is a thing. Sport button doing something to the steering on an ///M, however, is not.

In a way it’s understandable why Joel ‘felt’ this... & from someone who works with software & deals with ‘undocumented features’ each & every day know there’s always a grey area of doubt.

However, I believe it’s simply down to the M steering being more weighty & suggest, with the Sport button making a highly responsive engine even more snappy, the weighty unflustered feel of the steering becomes even more apparent.

Regardless, they’re all great reviews & if Joel ever makes it onto a future TopGear or Grand Tour know he’ll provide a carasmatic show we can all be proud of... well there’s a new format idea... have guests representing car clubs doing a pitch!!!

I really enjoy reading all your feedback in this forum guys - I work extremely hard to produce content in my spare time for YouTube and it is fantastic to see everyone getting excited about some of it.

However, this is absolutely ridiculous and I find it extremely rude Gustavo & I've taken it as a real personal dig. I don't ever claim to be an expert on these cars, I'm just lucky enough to be able to give them a drive and share my opinions. Do yourself a favour and stop watching my videos, because I'm not always going to get it right.

Thanks to everyone else for your continued support!

Yep thats right. Only ever owned / driven an e89 and sport mode does make a difference on mine without a doubt.

C'mon now, now you're exaggerating here. NO, it's not ridiculous and you shouldn't take it so seriously.
Firstly @Gustavo was polite and just expressed his/her opinion in you editing your video. After all, you're not a pro but shouldn't you be precise and accurate if you want to become one? Doug DeMuro, on the other hand, is full of inaccuracies but keeps rising in views..
Secondly, you're just adding too much (web) stress to yourself. Opinions are like @ssholes, everyone has one. You can't get irritated and answer back at the comments you won't like.
