Lincolnshire/West Yorkshire S54 Specialists

Post by Kern47 » Sun Dec 30, 2018 11:29 pm

Hi,

Relatively new to Z4M ownership.
Mine has done about 75,000 miles and so far i haven't noticed anything untoward from the engine or anywhere else (touch wood).
However, for peace of mind, I'm wanting to look into getting the rod bearings replaced and valve adjustment done. Obviously I would prefer somewhere with knowledge and experience on the S54.

I live in Lincolnshire, although have family and friends around Wakefield near Leeds.

Is there anyone on here from around either of those areas who could help to point me in the direction of someone reputable?

Thanks in advance.

Don’t use Atlas in York! Going to try Peter Van Der Veer in Huddersfield next time. Keep us updated how you go on!

Do they do servicing as well? Otherwise I probably would end up leaving with a boot full of carbon fibre and an empty bank account :driving:

These guys without a doubt. They rebuilt my engine after rod bearing failure and I couldn't fault their work, and the engine has put out some very strong numbers after the build.

Morning Kern47.

I’m in a similar position to your original post, new to Z4M ownership & in Lincolnshire. Just wondered if you have found a “go to” specialist in the local area.

I’m not feeling the need for upgrades at the moment but a local specialist to keep everything sweet would be ideal.

Thanks
