Insurance implications

Post by Striven » Sun Dec 23, 2018 1:44 pm

Hi, I am thinking of the GruppeM induction and a new exhaust, when declaring this to the insurance company what have people been charged?
Only had it two weeks and already thinking of tinkering. AC Schnitzer pedal covers getting ordered soon

FYI on my M, declaring an ‘induction kit’ cost me £20

Declaring ‘an aftermarket’ suspension kit, another £20

They weren’t bothered whether it was of a F1 titanium vented design or some DIY fabrication...

Peace of mind, priceless

Not a lot extra for my intake, brakes, exhaust & suspension...

...but make sure your policy includes like-for-like modification replacement, and not back-to-standard like some - and that they'll pay out for (or take into account) the modified parts if it's written off.
