Springs, again.
Hi all, just had an mot, and for the second time found broken rear springs,a long time issue with bmw I. Know, anyway i am not chucking any more money at their parts counter for a product that is boviously not up to the job.
Can anyone reccomend a set of sport springs that will at the same time improve the crashy ride. Either a package of front and rear springs or pos a springs and shocks set. Dont want to go full kv as not tracking and dont fancy the refresh charges etc. Be interested how others went in a similar situation, suggestions and reviews welcome, many thanks .

Eibach/Bilstein combination is what I changed to after I had the same problem, works much better than stock, ride is still hard but much more absorbent if you see what I mean.

B12 kit is what I have too. Mine was a bit cheaper off a German seller on eBay, but 800 quid sounds fair.

I never knew this B12 kit existed. Interesting. What shocks does it include? None of the sites selling it say in the listings. Are they B6 HD's, or B8's? Can someone share a pic showing the ride height with the mild lowering the kit provides? Thanks!

Great kit, I use it as well. They use the b6 shocks. Keeps the car very flat in the corners.

Is yours a //M or 2-3litre?
The //M B12 kit comes with B6’s, the other B8’s
With the //M ... rear is ok but to stop the crashiness you need to remove about 15mm from the front bump stops when changing
Ride height... pics enc....can hardly see any difference with B12 kit... (silver b4, black 224’s after)

I'm pretty sure the front dampers have internal bump stops.mad4slalom wrote: ↑Fri Nov 30, 2018 6:14 pmThanks for that jembo. Re the 15mm , are the bump stops on the new shocks or on the car , thanksJembo wrote: ↑Mon Nov 26, 2018 8:36 pm Is yours a //M or 2-3litre?
