So, put these lovely things on the car today....my first time doing it myself (with the father in laws help)... and that wasn't quite as simple to do if you don't have a garage lift. Firstly tried to do it with the wheel still on, mistake one, secondly tried to do it with the diffuser still on, mistake two.....then getting the seized up bolts off was a real PITA. Anyway, 3 hours later we are done and I now just need to reattach the diffuser on Sunday.

From the initial testing, they sound pretty much spot on...so as this is the 4th exhaust I've tried, hopefully this one will hit the mark.

I'll be cleaning up the OEM ones to powder coat in black, as they really don't look good hanging down like cows udders.

Do these still keep the Rasp sound or more of a rumble?

A nice blend really, definitely more stock sounding than the others I had in the past. They are noticeably louder and have more variety of sound across the power band, also pop a little on lift off. Also, these are beautifully made, much nicer than the OEM one's.

The only thing I don't like about these, and seemingly all aftermarket exhausts, is that they stick out that inch or two longer than stock. I'd much prefer they were almost flush to the bumper like the stock ones. I'll upload a pic on Sunday to show what I mean.

Nice cans! I missed my Remus, but are much happier with the Eisenmann now. The Remus do stick out a bit more than stock, but not by much. If I recalled, they only come out about half an inch cold, but can grow to an inch when hot. Eisenmann is almost flush with the rear valance, similar to stock look, but with much larger tips.

What other exhausts have you tried? The Eisenmann is also my 4th set and it wasn't quite right until I had paired it with an RE x-pipe. I went from stock (too tamed) to Supersprint Race (super loud) to Remus (tamed) to Eisenmann Sport (tamed+). Now Eisenmann Sport + RE x-pipe = Just right.

A friend had these fitted to his Z4M. We were going to do it ourselves, but a local friendly garage poppped them on. Well after cutting all the rusty bolts off!

I like the sound. It's a bit more tuneful and not as deep / droney as the stock pipe. Quite subtle when cruising and a lovely improvement when on it.

I would fit them, but I'm in love with the induction sound on my roadster

I have Remus back boxes and an aFe intake giving a perfect combination of induction roar with a sonorous exhaust that still falls within track day noise limits. I've had lots of compliments, including from a guy in a 1M who followed me into a motorway services just to tell me how amazing it sounded when I passed him at full chat a mile or two earlier

These are not very lightweight either. About a 3 lbs saving per can over stock when I weighted them on my bathroom scale

Yeah, there's a bit of weight saving, but the one big benefit already it that it 'feels' like the engine is breathing a bit easier...seems it revs through the range ever so slightly better...might be placebo, but it does feel it. The look good as well, but maybe 'too' shiny for my liking, kind of making me feel like I might get them powder coated in gunmetal, or that I need to get a set of wheels done in Hyper Silver to match up with them.

The pops and crackles coming off the gas are a nice addition, not silly like a Boxster GTS, but definitely welcome after the non-sound of the stock system. If the OEM sound is a 5/10 then this is a 8/10...just enough to add drama, but not enough to drown the Gruppe M, so feels like a good set up at the moment (I did say that after the Stromung, H&S and the custom boxes I had...and all of those lasted about a month).

Finally, I need to adjust the right box up just half an inch as it sits just slightly lower than the left....which will bug me. Anyone know the easiest way to make an adjustment to the height on these. There doesn't appear to be any obvious way to do this???

The easiest way is to use a trolley jack, cover it with a big towel or something so not to damage the box, loosen the fixings, Jack it up (dont go mad) and nip up the bolts, remove and check height. You have to jack slightly more than you expect as they do sag slightly, few tweaks and you should be sorted

I got to the stage of rusted bolts and gave up on mine. Living in a city centre with no access to power tools is
