Been out the loop for a little while, super busy but need to plan some time to get my service done on the ///M.

Wheres everyone buying their oil and filters from now days? Any offers etc please shoot up the details. I Have been so out of touch with the community for the past 9 + months im not sure where the best deals are... i may also try a different oil also. The millers nano seems to get solid ratings from numerous s54 related forums.

I normally just head onto the Opie website. It’s always been competitive in my experience.

I have found some spectacular deals on ebay etc but I’d not like to take the risk of buying non genuine.

ECP and Carparts for less have a sale on service items fairly often too.

Avoid the eBay oils... I think the extra changes I did using them were a high contributing factor to some problems I had with a past AUDI Quattro

cheers jembo ive just clicked the order with opie. Also went with the stock castrol oil as well, they do a full service kit which was very reasonable... Brake fluid i will be going with AP 5.1 as i find it excellent and its served me well over the past 5 years. I may drop the coolant as well, this is around 4 years mark again... i think. Looking forward to getting my hands dirty. Will post pics once in the nitty gritty.

What do you think was wrong with the oil? Old/fake/mis labeled?

Did you not do these just over a year ago?
How many miles have you covered since doing them?

I will buy off ebay, but only from the recognised sellers, often get dealers shifting stock. I just got some Castrol Professional for the Audi that was £25 for 5 litres, and was a main dealer selling on ebay. I have also bought oil that has come from Germany - even with postage was cheaper.

What miles has it been since the last time your Z4 had the valve clearance done? Itd be interested to hear what amount of wear you find when you do it. At 31k miles mine has never had his done yet.
