Z4M Purchase
Yes i will be. For a year or two i will probably park up the Z3M and keep the miles down.
Its an Imola 99 Z3MR with 60k. Been in our family for 13 years now and always garaged - don't think i will ever sell it unless prices go mad!
My company car at the moment is an M240i as well so a bit of an "M" theme going on at the moment

I've agreed to buy the car for the price advertised and he's agreed (which i will get in writing) that if its not as described he will refund and collect the car back off me.
I work opposite BMW so its going straight in for a health check once its delivered here.
Fingers crossed

Z4M Purchase
Hi guys.
Car arrived this morning - Seems weird taking delivery of a car i had never seen.
Its pretty much as described and drives really nicely. Everything (so far) seems to work and any wear and tear highlighted before i bought it should be an easy fix.
Couple of questions as i'm new to the Z4M world having only had Z3M's previously.
The main brake light unit in the boot is cracked. I guess these are easy to replace?
The o/s/f halo light inst working. How do you replace these?

Rear centre brake light is easy to replace. just make sure you don't do the new one up too tight. For once a clear ///M one will actually be cheaper than the non ///M red ones.
I think the halo bulb is one that will need the holder modifying to use a normal bulb. Not a hard job and saves a fortune over the price a dealer would charge.

Mine’s red and is original...and RealOEM only shows the red part number for coupes.
It shows different numbers for red & white for the roadster though (and different to the coupe number), so I guess they’re not compatible.

Yep - its a Roadster.
Couple of pics as she arrived today below. Plenty to do but will be a work in progress for a couple of months.
God know what the previous owner was thinking with the gearknob.

Back to standard is the plan.
My list so far compromises (on a budget for now).....
Repair/Spray wheels
Replace cracked brake light
Clean roof
Replace M badge stickers
Purchase wind deflector
Replace corroded brake hoses
Repair and clean leather
Replace 1x worn tyre
Touch in stone chips
Purchase stubby aerial
Inspection 2 @ BMW
Replace Halo bulb
Fit private plate
So not a lot

To be fair I haven’t driven it far - 30miles or so as I’ve been abroad but pick her up again Sat after an inspection 2 at BMW. Sounds like it was a clean bit of health.
My Z3M has a Simota and an eisenmann exhaust but that still doesn’t make it feel quicker than the Z4. Top end is similar but there is certainly a lot more low down pick up in the Z4. The steering in the Z4 is much more direct and I think the suspension rides better.
The Z3M still has more charm and I don’t think that will ever change. The Z4M just feels a lot more modern and easier and certainly something better suited to a trip to France - exactly the reason I bought it for.
The girlfriend always founds the Z3M (partly due to my modifications) a little too low and firm
