TV Retune & CD Magazine Issues

Post by Gwest44 » Wed Sep 12, 2018 6:29 pm

Had a go at re-tuning the TV in my 56 plate coupe without success - 0 digital and 0 analogue channels being returned.

Is it me or is the system simply to old - in addition having loaded up the CD magazine with 6 authentic discs I get nothing but the CD Check message so can only use the Radio or single CD player in the head unit.

Any hints or tips would be appreciated as would confirmation the TV head unit is now to old to retune. :headbang:

I thought the stock tv tuner was not digital?

Cd changers are notorious for failing.

If you have a digital tuner it should get reception. You appear to have the hybrid version with both analogue and digital.

As above cd changers fail a lot. I’d look into MP3 alternatives like intravee, dension, dice.

Just bought a great little FM Transmitter with AUX connection to sort the music situation out - will leave CD Multichanger in situ to retain stock look.

Still no success with TV but again will leave head unit in place to retain stock look and Satnav still works as a backup solution if required - would still be keen to hear from anyone who has got their TV unit working.

Photo of magnetic holder £5.99 & FM Transmitter with AUX connection £9.99 - great low budget music solution with phone connection sorted through factory Bluetooth
