Pick-Up Day - Z4M
Pick up day, I remember that day ! Enjoy it. Love that ruby blackin the sun. I looked and drove three before doing a deal on my one, there were a few niggles with the others , i wanted the carbon leather, when you see the right one you instinctively know. It sounds crazy but i didnt even drive the one I bought andi it took over a month to complete the deal, so i had loads of time to talk myself out of it but i knew it was worth the wait and that baby was coming home with me ! enjoy your special day

Free motoring, and I can’t believe I’ve had mine for over 7 years.

I've had mine 10 days now and magically it's done over 300 miles! Going in for warranty work tomorrow, but both my old man and me have been impressed at how tight and together the car has been.
I adore the looks of the Coupe as that rear 1/4 view just screams awesome. However really enjoying my Z4MR, managed to get my 6.4"+ frame in pretty easily and I've just been slowly building up confidence in the car.

Good to hear. How’s the back holding up so far?Felix79 wrote: ↑Tue Dec 04, 2018 12:31 am I've had mine 10 days now and magically it's done over 300 miles! Going in for warranty work tomorrow, but both my old man and me have been impressed at how tight and together the car has been.

I was having a bad day the other day pain wise, so I went out for about an hour in the Zed and it really helped. The driving position is totally new for me, as I am leaned back more, with the base a bit further forward. Being so well supported on either side just stopped the lumbar area bending and pinching the nerves I have damaged there.MrPT wrote: ↑Tue Dec 04, 2018 12:37 amGood to hear. In my Impreza P1, it had really nice Recaro bucket seats that hugged me slightly differently, but I use to sit very upright in that car. When I drove mine back t'other week, I was pretty upright and I couldn't see the dials due to the rim of the wheel. This meant I played around with a different position and the Zed just holds me perfectly. To give you some context, I can sit at my desk for 40 mins on a good day with very powerful opiates, but will have to lay down for over an hour afterwards. I'm now clocking up 40-60 mins in the Zed with no ill effects and I'm not in pain (well no more than my baseline level).
One reason why my folks were willing to help me get something like a Zed, is they know that sports cars tend to have some of the best seats and usually have a better ride around Oxfordshires rough roads. While the JCW Mini was a really great car, which I was able to drive a bit, I was struggling with the seats just not lowering me enough and at traffic lights I was bending, which would pinch my nerves from time to time. Best way to describe it to people, is like touching a nerve in your tooth, but feeling it go through your lower body and leg.
The lower driving position of the Zed is proving to be a godsend for me, as it's giving me an ideal amount of visibility all round. While I miss the sheer grunt my P1 had (330lbt) , I'm finding the sensation of speed is so great in the Zed, I'm actually driving very conservatively considering the overall hp is higher than my P1's 322hp. But a late 90's turbo "JDM" car vs a NA German Roadster is pretty difficult to compare, both are fun to drive, but the Z4MR is looking to be a much better option for me in the long run.

Good read on this thread...
I’m still getting used to my Coupe, having bought it on 10 Sept., the gears especially. Think the gear box could do with a change of oil.
I’ve a list of things that needs doing, priority being the front bushes and alloys, but that’s not stopped me taking it out for some fun driving!

I had an Autosolutions short shifter kit fitted to my roadster and it's completely transformed the shifting. Like driving a different car to be honest, such a positive feel to the shifter.
