Oh I see. Well let's hope that his excuse is that he's been too busy driving it (and/or getting it the rightway up).

Feels like it didn’t when I first passed my test I just looking for any excuse to get in it and have a blast - my Mrs is wondering why I’m so keen to run to the shops and call at the bank

Anyway I’ve stuck 600 miles on since purchase and the inspection 2 service is now reading 0 miles so will have to keep out of it until I get it back from the garage on Wednesday.

At this point my only regret is why I didn’t do it sooner - so many miles wasted :driving:

Glad to hear you’re enjoying the car

Having to do an inspection 2 straight after purchase is no bad thing in my opinion. You’ll know it’s all in ship shape after. Especially handy that you will know the valve clearances are spot on too (dont forget to ask for the data sheet for this)

Now in 2nd week of ownership - inspection II completed, new plates on, failed to sort the sunglasses holder, given up on the TV & CD Multichanger but still looking for any excuse to get in and have a blast. Boring it certainly isn’t :driving:

Imagine one getting stolen & ripped for parts , the forum radar wouldn't take long to kick in would it  we all know from experience its a very closed shop for ZM S54 stuff on the web so unless you planned shipping whole vehicle to the middle of nowhere or wanted a particular part / parts then thieving one would be a foolish move

Yes bought the car Vijay and loving it can honestly sat I've not looked back - in true "Man's Not Hot" style here's some quick math's that I use to justify the purchase to myself and decision to replace my previous vehicle which was a Mercedes C350e Estate

Depreciation: Previous purchase cost (£41,000) - sale price (£17,000) = £24,000
Fun factor: Based on mileage of 41,000 and novelty of electric charging and running = 3 out of 10
Cost: Depreciation / FF = £8,000 Merc C350e

Cost: Purchase price (£14,250) + Inspection II service (£460) = £14,710
Fun factor: Based on mileage of 1,000 and sound from S54 = 10 out of 10
Cost: Purchase price / FF = £1,475 assuming no resale value if I ever do; so absolute no brainer just wish I'd done it sooner

Good advice and totally agree with...

Also, all flew out of my head when i laid my eyes on mine.... I had paid a deposit on it unseen. On the day, I was still holding out so did a careful inspection which all fell apart when I started the car...!

Four months later, still in love! :driving:
