I'm replacing some of the front lower plastic componentry to freshen up the front of the my Z4M roadster. The front brake duct is cracked etc. I'm sure we all know the crazy BM retail prices for these items. (£350 for the duct! )
Does any members have experience with anyone who retails either non OEM parts (like ducts or inner wheel covers) for M cars, or a recycle outfit that specialises in Ms?

Any model-specific part is expensive on limited run vehicles (I had the same issue on e34 M5s).
But if you’re referring to the part numbers 51118044701 and 51118044702 (#18 on the diagram), then they’re about £30 each, from the linked online parts portal (Rybrook BMW dealer).
- Sunglasses holder = £200
- Xenon headlight (without electronics) = £1100

MMMFive - That's really helpful - are the chaps you refer to blog members - excuse the ignorance .
I spend half my time in the uk so could collect locally.
And out of interest where did you get the parts diagrams - I've been looking foursome thing like that for yonks but in Darkest Africa it doesn't seem to exist

If you click one of the links on the part numbers, it will take you to an BMW dealer’s (Rybrook) online ordering portal.
If you go to the home page, you can put the last 7 digits of your VIN number in and them search for parts via the built in parts catalogue.
Don’t know what the surcharges for shipping will be to South Africa though.

The brake ducts are plastic and are not load-bearing. Why not just glue the broken parts together, and give it a coat of matte black paint? Just had mine spray painted and they look brand new.

I have part 18 on the pic drivers side for sale in my garage which I bought but then totalled the Zed.
Look at my threads if interested and PM me.
