2 services & 2000miles in 2 months not impossible but certainly not the normNeilson wrote: ↑Tue Aug 14, 2018 8:24 pmHi, the dealer sent the images of the service book with the stamps and what was carried out. Why doesn't it make sense?Wondermike wrote: ↑Tue Aug 14, 2018 7:00 pmHave you seen the service book itself? The date of the first oil service doesn't make sense.Neilson wrote: ↑Mon Aug 13, 2018 10:08 pm Pre Delivery Check - 24/08/06
Running in Check - 1,234 Miles 15/09/06
Oil Service - 3,339 Miles 20/11/06
Inspection 1/Micro Filter - 12,601 Miles 09/03/10 (This is the one I'm worried about as there's a gap of 3.4 years - any reason for concern?)
Oil Service/Micro Filter - 18,989 Miles 16/08/12
Oil Service - 27,589 Miles 27/09/13
Inspection 2/Micro Filter - 31,443 Miles 30/11/15
Oil Service - 33,086 Miles 24/03/17

Just because the computer wouldn't show it as being due on time for two years from registration, so around August 2008 - so why service it at three months old? Even if it was an early car which had been sat around and the service counter wasn't reset during the PDI, it couldn't show more than maybe January 2008 because it couldn't have been built much before Jan 2006, even as one of the earliest cars.

Interesting - looks like the car was sold to a dealer only a few months after purchase and they just changed the oil as part of the used car check.
Knowing Hexagon pricing maybe it sat there for a year or two because they’d marked it up above list
In all seriousness, maybe it was kept by them as a demo car for a while ? Cheaper than having a new one used for that purpose...

Very well deduced, and that's what I'm sticking with if someone asks!Bing wrote: ↑Tue Aug 14, 2018 9:29 pm Interesting - looks like the car was sold to a dealer only a few months after purchase and they just changed the oil as part of the used car check.
