Not had the valve clearances done yet.

Although my car had had pretty much an inspection 2 1500 miles before I bought it ... me being me wanted to know all was tip top . So put it into a Bmw specialist for a inspection 2 , the valves were checked and all within tolerance.

I’m getting used to the noises now and from talking to friends and hearing their e46 m3’s , it’s all very normal , just not what I expected that’s all

Mines pretty smooth tbh, despite it being 5 years older than my N52. It’s not as quiet as the N52, but smooth nevertheless.
