Hello Z4M-ers all
My rear brake pads got to the point of wear that triggered the wear sensor off on the right side. Ive re placed the pads and cable sensor with original BMW parts. Now I'm struggling to reset the warning light. It remains on. I've tried to follow the procedure described inbthe following video without success. Can anyone help? Am i missing something??

I don’t do any ‘reset’, I just drive it and it goes off in a few miles.

Really? That's it?? That sounds like the perfect excuse to drive the Z4M!

Well, that's all I've ever done, and I've replaced about 20 sets so far.Spaniarduk wrote: ↑Sun May 20, 2018 11:13 pm Really? That's it?? That sounds like the perfect excuse to drive the Z4M!

I am pretty sure last time i checked the front pads had plenty left. Perhaps worth checking again, along with a little prod and tug at the wear cable connectors

Are you visibly checking the outer pad, or checking the inner pad too - as it's the inner that tends to wear quickest.Spaniarduk wrote: ↑Mon May 21, 2018 11:05 am I am pretty sure last time i checked the front pads had plenty left. I'll bear that in mind. In fact, it's the inner pads that carry the wear sensors.
I passed my MOT a couple of weeks ago and the only comment was 'rear pads wearing thin'. A week later the dash light came on. There was no mention to the front ones. Still worth a look
