Forgive me, I'm a sinner

Post by Yorkie Z » Sun May 20, 2018 6:49 am

Well I've just had an inspection one and MOT. Looking at the mileage between mot's I can see I've only covered just over 900 miles in a year :(
Honestly it would be cheaper to sell the car and just take a taxi!! I've also noticed that I've managed just over 630 miles since my last oil change. I better not add up all the running costs else I'd probably sell it.

In my defence I've had a really busy year working full time then coming home and building a two storey extension on our house.

Anyway I seek forgiveness for letting such a fun car sit idly. I promise to stick some decent miles on in the coming year 8)

I do more in a week than that sometimes.

My mates CSL only moves for an annual oil & brake fluid service, just before its MOT. Then it’s back into its carcoon.

Some bits now over 163,000 miles, some less than 1,000 miles.

What's the point then of owning a CSL? Ok; the value goes up a little every year, but It's not going to be worth the same amount as some limited edition Porsche's. At a certain point the car gets to expensive and people will not buy it anymore because there are better and more interesting cars to invest in for that amount of money.

You might not have driven it much, but to be honest you could just sit for hours and look at it and still feel happy for forking on annual costs. A lovely looking Zed and that colour is fantastic!

But that isn't 2 storeys, it's at least 3 - no wonder you didn't get out in your Z4!

I only did 8,000 miles in 2 years in my first one - when I got my next one I decided I just had to use it more. I got to 2 years of ownership last week, and sure enough I've done 8,000 miles (again). :headbang:

Must try harder - but you need to try even harder OP!
Coupes because stunning!

Gone - Montego Blue
Gone - Ruby Black

Ummm.... I normally run at about 1k miles/year but been a bit busy this year.

My MOT is due on 17th July which means that I've done under 40 miles in the last 47 weeks - and that included taking her in for a service

I could of bought one of them instead of my TT RS, I did think about it. Residuals would have been much better.
