Z4MR market - what do you recommend me to buy?
Hi, this weekend I want to go to Uk to buy a Bmw Z4 M Roadster.
What is the process to buy the car? What documentation is necessary? Can someone explain to me how to make the purchase?
Later, I will travel to Spain by road.
Do you know any Z4MR with less than 60000 miles on sale? I have seen the UK market of Z4MR, what do you recommend me to buy?
It would be open to other possibilities (more than 60000 miles) as long as the vehicle has had good maintenance or accidents.
Thanks!!

Only docs you need to buy are those with the queens head on
Not sure coming for the weekend will ensure you leave with a decent example unless you already had one lined up , many of the current cars have been for sale a while & thats generally down to iffy condition , questionable history or ambitious price
Budget generally dictates which cars you have to consider so perhaps worth sharing that

This one should give you zero concerns , it was previously a well respected forum members car & has the benefit of GruppeM kit fitted (worth around £650 / £700)
Wheels aren't in its favour nor are the mudflaps but both easily remedied https://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified ... New&page=1
looks a crisp example owned the last 8yrs by father then son , if its all ok on viewing & history is spot on then its not expensive for the spec + miles https://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified ... 000&page=1
This one looks very well kept , well specced & a known seller of used ZMs https://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified ... asc&page=2
Depends on budget but those 3 would be where id start my hunt from the choices on AutoTrader

I'm looking at how to buy the car step by step:
https://www.gov.uk/buy-a-vehicle
As a buyer I do not have to pay any taxes, right? If I have to pay some tax, how is it done?
I want to drive the car to Spain. I'm going to take out the insurance for a week with UK registration.
The MOT is mandatory that is valid (not expired), right? I have seen a car that does not have the current MOT. Can you get the valid MOT in one day?

There is a silver one on Auto Trader, been there a while and price keeps going down. Up at £13.5 K. Is this one any good Mr Wilks. I would add a link but don't know how to.

If a car is being sold without an MoT, then I would not risk it, if your only here a few days. The seller would have sorted any simple failures, so chances are there is a more serious problem. You can view any UK registered vehicle's MoT history on line.

looks well kept & well presented but as noted its been for sale at least 5-6 months & for many would be M owners the alu dash would be enough to overlook it as a possible that said thanks to Number5 offering high gloss trim kits for a paltry sum its not a major job to upgrade ( not wishing to offend alu dash owners , i quite like the finish myself but not over carbon leather weave )

Where is there usually rust in the car? Where do I have to look in detail? I have seen in the MOT of several cars that disc brakes are rusted. and in a car I have seen some rusted screws in the engine compartment.

I have checked the mot's history and it has had corrosion (rust-oxidation) in different parts of the car ...
