Diff and gearbox oil how often?

Post by Babw » Wed May 02, 2018 11:53 am

My Z4M is in for a routine oil service and I was considering gettting the diff and gearbox oil changed at the same time. I don’t do enough miles for the inspection intervals to roll around more than every 4 years but that seems a long time in between fluid changes.

It’s been 2 years and 7000 miles since I’ve had all the fluid changed.

What do others do?

They're supposed to be 'lifetime' oils, but most members recommend changing at around 60k. Its on my list this year.

Not on S54s Colin , they should be done every Ins2 which mileage terms generally equates to around 35k /45k
I doubt you need to be concerned after just 7k or 2 years op
