Having some work done after MOT fail...
Car failed it’s MOT today, front brake lines are corroded. So I decided to get the car in for some extra work. It’s currently on 90k miles so booked in for the following.
1. New brake lines
2. Inspection 1 service
3. New engine mounts
4. New shells
5. Bilstein B12 kit
6. Full geo and may get M3 CSL geo.
7. Replacing any worn bushes at the same time.
8. Rogue Engineering - Rear Shock Mounts
9. Turner Motorsport - RTAB limiting kit
10. 3 Blink indicator coded back in.
Can you think of anything else that is worth getting done at the same time as the above? I plan on keeping the car for a few year to come, so don’t mind spending a little.
Cheers, Greg

Probably control arms and strut top mounts if your doing the b12 kit. EBay has a medlye HD set which contains arms, drop links, lollipops for £200 I think. Front anti roll bar rubbers changed to powerflex

Will the actual control arms need replacing or just the bushes within?

Don’t do B12 kit. I’ve just had it fitted and it’s ruined my Z4M. Will be taking it off ASAP. Car feels like it is broken - crashes on bump stops at every bump.

Depending on the driving you do the b12 kit I find is excellent. Granted at slower speeds it can crash a little but when pressing on it really smoothes out. Based on a 3.0si

I'd probably add rear trailing arm bushes to your already extensive list, especially if your renewing the suspension and having the geo done. Wouldnt want to have to pay your bill though!

Thanks guys, I’ll check out all the other bits and pieces when it’s up on the ramps.
Adding to the list
8. Code in the “3 blinks” on the indicator stalk for changing lanes on the motorway

Sure, but an M is different and experience of one set up different. Genuinely, it’s ruined my M - crashy to the point of being undrivable.

If it's not too late go for the proper bushes that have the built in limiter design, I run them and they are nice and quiet and feel great!
Also add the strut mounts for the rear, the strengthened ones are a nice addition and about 40 quid from memory, well worth doing

I’ve been thinking about engine mounts and shells for a while too. Following this thread with interest. Pure3 - would you mind giving us an idea of what this will cost?
