Thanks! Sonus SFX-2 polish.

More details for those interested:

I did one polish over the whole car (I didn't have time for multiple passes) and given it hadn't been done for ages (as the 'before' part of the gif shows) I used a 6" Sonus SFX-1 foam pad with Sonus SFX-2 polish. In retrospect, I probably should have used the SFX-2 pad, to match the polish. But it came out well.

I then waxed using Dojo Juice Purple Haze Pro Edition with the Sonus SFX-4 pad.

Only my second attempt with the DAS-6, so still learning...
Thank you for the information.
I keep looking at getting a dual action polisher but always end up being put off by the myriad of pads, polishes and compounds which results in me going back to microfibre/foam applicator pads and microfibre polishing cloths!

Understandable. There is a lot out there. Three things that may help:

1) This website: http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/ especially this bit: http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/index.php ... oc&docId=5 and this guide: http://www.cleanyourcar.co.uk/generalImg/guide.gif

2) In reference the that last link (the guide). If this is too much/too many steps (it was for me) you could break it down into just doing the following:
- Wash
- Polish (restore or enhance depending on the state of the car - this was my SFX-1 pad with SFX-2 polish)
- Wax (this was my SFX-4 pad and wax)

3) It seems to be a well developed market with some solid brands, so it is hard to go wrong if you get something that has good reviews. I went with Sonus as they seemed well established. Then the SFX-1 is the harshest pad/polish, and SFX-4 is the softest, with others in the middle.
