Mines just dropped from £1100 with Elephant to £600 with Hastings. I’ve recently turned 25 but still have an at fault accident on my policy from a few years ago, on my old Z.

Check the vehicle value!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hastings are on a scam at the moment, they tried insuring mine at the book value of 4K. The policy then doubled when I corrected it. If you correct the value online, there is an auto default value that will be put in without your knowledge!!!!

Wow.. thanks for the heads up! I’ve just given them a call and the value was defaulted to £4250. Needless to say I’ve cancelled my policy and I’m now with Admiral.. for £590, with a proper market value!

They are jokers!!!! Also if you check the policy documents, the model is stated as a Z4 not Z4M

I'm about to visit the meerkats again for my daily - as I do every year! Why do they all take the p*ss each renewal? Surely retaining customers is easier that attracting new ones?

Last year Saga did my 325ti Sport for just over £260, but this year they want just over £350 for my E91 325iSE!

Anyway I'll also try Admiral as they seem to be pretty competitive based on what I've read here. Our "forum" provider (Chris Knott) charged me over £350 last year for my Z4C 3.0Si (with a non-standard exhaust) so it may be time to move on.

I'm over 50, 19+ years NCD with a clean licence and living in the home counties - I hope I can do better in June when the Z4 is due for renewal!

It was much easier when one of my former work colleagues was still at Cornhill/Allianz - always got a good deal with his staff discount!
Coupes because stunning!

Gone - Montego Blue
Gone - Ruby Black

I would advise M owners to source specialist insurance for their cars. The policy should include an agreed valuation.

With the early cars approaching classic car status, the book value will be very low. If the worth was to ever happen, getting the true market value for the car could prove to be a nightmare.

Admiral seem to always have been fairly accurate with the valuation they provide automatically.
Renewed my policy fairy recently on a multicar deal and pay £320 a year for the MC///.
Im 23 and have it insured for 4000 a year with 5 years no claims, they charge more for my Skoda Fabia... :)
