Post by Kingy220 » Thu Feb 01, 2018 5:52 pm

Hi Chaps,
I’ve been looking online for a replacement part of the exhaust (the bit behind the back boxes) could anyone point me in the right direction.

Other than BMW? You could try some of the breakers or there's one here in washington

Otherwise you could get something custom made or an 'upgrade' from the like of supersprint etc, which won't be cheap.

What happened to yours?
MC[IB], CSL airbox, Schrick 288/280 cams, 4.44FD, UUC SSK, SS race cat back, AP CP9660[F]/5144[R] brakes, Apex ARC-8 with AR-1 or PS5, KW ClubSport 2-way, Turner spherical arms, PMC uniball rtab, VB engine mounts, Rogue pulleys & RSMs, Tillett B6, half cage

Either go to a fabricator and get a custom catback built to your desired specification (which will cost £3-600 depending on where you go).

Or buy a bolt-on kit from the likes of Supersprint, Eisenmann, Bastuck or Remus. (These are more expensive but they should relatively hold value on resale).

EMP Performance are probably the best fabricators in London and the SE and I find Supersprint to be the best exhaust manufacturer (mainly because they are lightweight, offer the best power gains [albeit quite minimal] and do not produce drone or a rather obnoxiously loud sound).

If you’re after a loud exhaust go for Eisenmann, and if you’re after the pops and bangs I would recommend the Bastuck. I’m not a fan of the older Remus exhausts (however the new ones for the M2/M3/M4 etc sound sick).

Let us know what option you go for.
