Car hibernation - flat patch tyre saver
Hello everyone.
Question for all of you who hibernate your Z4s over winter. What do you use to prevent your tyres from developing the flat patches from standing for months on the same patch? I'm struggling to find a tyre saver pad that is open enough for the car's 65cm diameter wheels. Everything I've found so far is for tyres up to 20" (50cm) diameter. Like this pair:

TIA for your comments.
José

Not sure if there are other options with those tyre saves but is there not a possibility of moving the vehicle regularly.
This may seem like madness but I park my car on a reasonably thick carpet so that absorbs some of the weight between the tyre and a hard surface. Whether this actually helps I am not sure but I started doing it after making a balls of painting the garage floor and the tyres seemed to bring the paint with them after a while being sat.
The carpet stops this happening, I assume it spreads the load slightly, just enough to stop the garage floor coming with me when I take the car out... .

I'd use axle stands to lift the car off its tyres completely or pump the tyres up to their max pressure.

Modern radial tires should do 6 months to a year with no problems.

I have had this problem recently. A 600 mile Welsh trip didnt cure the flat spot.
Have just bought some Milenco tyre savers from ebay - £31 for 4 so good value, and have pumped to 40 psi to see if the tyres can be rescued, but will increase to 50 if thats what the handbook says.

I’ve whacked mine up to 45psi in the past and it’s worked.
Hoping it works this year too as put new rubber all round before hibernation this year
