Clunking from brakes

Post by Kingy220 » Mon Dec 25, 2017 8:54 pm

Merry Christmas.

I've taken the car up north for Christmas visiting the folkes, it seems to have developed a clunking noise from the rear passenger wheel area. The noise seems to be speed related and goes when I apply the brakes. If anyone has any ideas I'm all ears.

Top right hand side of the post, left hand one of the 4 boxes, looks like a pen.

Slightly loose wheel nuts? I've experienced this once after a trackday.

Rear spring snapped would be worth a quick visual check.

Also just seen your location, If you see another Sapphire Z4MC around Stratford town it'll be me, welcome to the club.

Thanks for all the replies, I've had a good look this morning and can't find or see anything loose/broken. Think I've got a brake pad that's moving around a little.

Hi aarsavage, thought I was the only mc in the village :D

Turns out one of the brake pads was too small, even though they were a straight replacement for the old pads.

Thanks for comments/advise
