That’s the question I had I suppose.

I'm not complaining but I think I'd be happier if it didn't seem wrong compared to the other weights on here?

Perhaps BMW put a 2L 4pot in your car by mistake :P
Are you certain they put the ballast on the seat - if it was forgotten then your car is on a par with the others that have been measured.

Mine came in on corner weights as I mentioned earlier in this thread at 1385 with no weight in the car and iirc about 1/2 tank and that was before further savings I've done. So it sounds plausible to me.
I hope to get my current setup on the same scales that fishydave had his on for some further enlightenment.
It seems there are really quite big differences here, odd.

Maybe you have manual seats or/and no satnav?
All M's came with electric seats as far as I know, in the UK at least.
There's a fair saving to be had by going to a manual mech I think.
FWIW my car has no nav but the 10 speaker system with the amp on the bulkhead and bluetooth module.

I did think it was a bit sluggish in every gear apart from first :D

Ballast definitely on the seat, I was with them the entire time

Did you get your car done at centre gravity? I remember talking to Chris about another car and I'm sure it was yours from the description?

I agree that low 1300's would be amazing! Leather trimmed Recaros buckets are going to be my next purchase which should hopefully help drop 40kg?

Sounds about right. More if you get the CF pole positions but they are crazy money.

The seats in the new Alpine look amazing and are only 13kg each:

But I suspect that if you find the equivalent seat (SPS?) direct from Sabelt it'll make the Recaros seem cheap.

Still think the Pole Positions will hold you in much better than these...and for much less cash than the Sabelt SBS, Sparco SPX, or Recaro Sportsters.

None of the reclining sports seats will be as light as Pole Positions either - the SBS in leather is quoted at 45lbs.

Although you could get a pair of Abarth Sabelt seats for £1800
