They sit underneath the fangs on the M front bumper. They take the brunt of any contact with speedbumps, which saves your fangs from getting damaged.

I actually caught my original fang protector on the top of a kerb and ripped the underside of my fang off

it was completely my fault though, as I turned my traction control off on a wet night and tried going balls out around a roundabout in my private work estate, which ended in me beaching the front bumper on the kerb

needless to say I won't be doing that again!
