Update - - the cars now gone. I kept as many useful parts as I could.

I’ve listed a silver grey 2006 2.0 for scrap on Marketplace. I’ve stripped it for other project cars.

If anyone wants anything before the carcass goes just shout.

For the sake of forum rules:

Wouldn’t mind the passenger side front wing if it’s dent/rust free and you can post. Happy to pay for it!

Has the roof been put aside for another project?

Interested in the door locks: I have read somewhere that the later E85's have a less "clunky" sound when closing the door. That would be a nice upgrade for my 2003 E85 :)

It’s sat in the garage but I don’t have a use for it. It was too good to throw away.

MrPT the wing is dented at the front. I’d give it a miss.

mMark I’ve come across the door clunk topic before but didn’t know it was related to the locking mechanism. I’ll do a little investigating.

Thanks! I already have installed the sound deadening bitumen material which is a huge improvement, but still it sounds a bit clunky/rattling.
I have tried searching for this but couldn't find it on the Z4 forum, until I realized that I have read this on the Dutch forum:
https://www.bmwzforum.nl/forums/topic/1 ... ent=413011
You can easily translate the whole topic/webpage using Google. This post shows the part of the lock that is needed. In a later post someone else explains that the earlier models had a lock with a bit of a rattling noise, which was improved for later models.

Not sure if the locks in your car are the improved ones, but I am happy to give it a try and report here on the forum if the expenses are not too high.
I am based in The Netherlands, but I come over to the UK on a regular basis and have UK colleagues that I can ask for receiving a parcel.
