Big brakes kit

Post by jock156 » Wed Dec 08, 2021 11:48 am

Hopefully getting this lot fitted this Friday 🤞

A few questions…….

1. The kit didn’t appear to come with sliders & bolts 🤷‍♂️

Does anyone have the part numbers so I can buy them prior to fitting.

Again part numbers for pistons.

Again part numbers for any seals etc.

If I’m gonna fit them I want to put all new where possible back on 👍

TIA and I really would appreciate any feedback ASAP to allow this to happen on Friday.

Please note I am useless it is a mechanic who will be doing it 😀

What do you need? Just the slider pins? By the looks of the pics there aren’t calliper carriers included?

May need a new brake disc retaining bolt too?

Worth getting new bolts for the hub as well. They normally snap coming out.

Will get you some P/N later

Hi Jock,

The calipers are new so no need to change the seals or pistons, I thought I'd included the bolts and pins with the whole package. I'm not sure if you can use your existing ones off the the car currently in use?

Thanks Scooby for the reply! 👍

This is what I’ve got, but what do I need in terms of bolts seals etc?

Yes absolutely, no worries as I said I genuinely thought I'd either included these but I must've re-used the original ones to go back to standard.
It looks like it's too late to say about the brakes being new as you've already gone to the bother of stripping them down :( I have a set of seals for the bigger diameter pistons, as I was going to strip down the old calipers but found it easier to pit stop with new calipers as it was quicker/easier.
