BMW Z4 E85 OEM Wind Deflector Kit

Post by mikeyg07 » Tue Apr 27, 2021 10:10 am

As subject says, my Z4 is missing a wind deflector so looking to buy one. Had a look on ebay and Gumtree but couldn't find one so thought I'd try on here.

Thanks.

Be warned, the original ones are hard to come by and tend to be expensive considering they're a bit of plastic with mesh in the middle, but priced very much in line with every other expensive bit of plastic that goes on the BMWs.

Good luck on your hunt, I was actually lucky enough to have a spare one in my boot when I bought my E85 last year.

Quite a few cars had the deflector, so you may find you've already got brackets but somewhere down the line the defectors been misplaced. If so, it's easy to pick up a deflector (but they're not cheap). Having said that, the OEM ones will hold value if you wish to re-sell.

I verified I dont got any bracket on mine. Like even the 2 insert one in the roll bar I dont got them. I saw here that it seem not to complicated to drill the roll bar and attache them. But do I need the 2 insert into the roll bar does it make a big difference ? Also I would had been ready to just bought new roll bar and inside insert but that's the part I can found new. How come you got geniune oem wind deflector kit still available but not the roll bar?!

I'll take that off you? PM sent. As it's my thread, do I get first refusal or can people jump in ahead of me?

I have a dilemma here
I was PM’d by Cliic first asking a question but received no offer
Ruthless posted next and offered full asking price
Mikey07 is the OP, you posted after the other two but it is your thread.
So I’ve contacted the mods, I have been advised to advertise it in the For Sale section (I should have done this in the first place) and first come with full asking gets it. It’ll be advertised once all the PM’s I’ve sent have been read, to give all interested parties a fair crack, if they’re still not read tonight I’ll advertise it tomorrow morning.
Apologies to you all, I’m trying to do the right thing here and I don’t want to get flack from other members for what they perceive is the right thing to do, I’m acting now on advice from the forum moderators.
