Or you could get your original aluminium panels skinned in real carbon fiber with a matt 2k clear laquer on top, as I did here:

There are many suppliers if you look online. You'll need to buy a whole hide though. Just get a sample to confirm its the same though before ordering.

I've just seen your e89 trim sale thread and posted there. But just in case, I'll reply again here, I'd definitely be up for that matte finish. Is this something you could do?Silverstar wrote: ↑Sun Feb 21, 2021 11:27 am Or you could get your original aluminium panels skinned in real carbon fiber with a matt 2k clear laquer on top, as I did here:

CF-print leather isn't cheap to buy. There's also no guarantee that it'll be the exact same finish as BMW used from the factory. But, as others have said, it's likely to work out cheaper than buying secondhand M panels (or worse, brand new ones!) and there's also the added plus that the leather will be brand new, rather than 15ish years old.

And guaranteeing you get a good trim fit, plus the stitching on the oem carbon leather trims really makes them imo. If I get them I want OE. But as it seems unlikely I'm probably going to end up getting them skinned by Silverstar.Mondo wrote: ↑Tue Feb 23, 2021 10:00 am CF-print leather isn't cheap to buy. Any trimmer worth their salt will be able to replicate the OE finish, stitching and all.
