Ok, maybe £800 would be a fair deal? Would like to sort it out this year.

I think the problem with this is its a lot of coin for a 6 digit plate that's not actually personalized its more appropriate to the brand, if you sold your bmw and switched brands its not much use keeping the plate..maybe you'd have more luck with the companies that specialize in selling these things?
if its got tits or tyres..its trouble :D

Sadly, my wife, Valerie, has a 2.5 and it would have been ideal, but her birthday pressie this year was a plate with Val on it.
Otherwise we'd have been interested.
I agree though, you need to rely on someone keeping BMWs.
Lots of companies looking to purchase your plates though, or sell them for a bit of commission. Maybe a better bet for you.
HQ of 'Norfolk Zed Rescue'.
Always happy to help if I can.

If the forum helped you, why not help the forum back. Thats the Z4 way!

Got an offer from one dealer, about £600. And they would sell it for 1200-1500. Not fair.. I agree it is totally brand specific.
Zed now has a number 385 BMW :driving:

Why don't you just mail shot some BMW dealerships with a sensible ask and see what response you get. Nothing to lose !
They often use them on their courtesy vehicles and shuttle busses etc.

Don't think you'll find many dealers that'll pay cash for a number plate to sell on - they mostly act as middle men so they take a commission when it sells (like an estate agent) - and judging by the thousands of numbers out there for sale it must be a very slow market.

Still there, now just want to get rid of it.
Dealer that offered £600 needs me to sign something in UK. As i am not there anymore i cant do that.
So same price here as they offered - £600 and it's yours. On retention cert all fees paid. Can put on car right away.
