RX8 Seats. SOLD

Post by Sgr74 » Tue Aug 25, 2020 7:12 pm

Adapted to fit an e85. Great, budget alternative to M sport seats. Electric drivers seat. Manual passenger seat. Couldn’t make the heated part work (probably didn’t try hard enough). You would need to use your own pre tensioner. I’ve also made a seatbelt guide for them which keeps the seatbelt off the shoulder. Selling due to picking up a set of M sport seats. Would prefer pick up but can be shipped at an extra cost. More pictures when/if the rain stops.
£200 ono.

They look good - do you prefer the M sport seats over these or do you just want OEM seats?

They are good seats. It is the oem thing. The price of the sport seats put me off. I’m now in a position to get a set so I’ve done it. I’ve had these seats in for over a year now. No complaints and far better than the standard deck chairs.

Standard Deck Chairs, I have in the 3.0 auto, E85 runaround car.
These, would be a nice Mod / upgrade OP.

Appreciate potentially losing the electric heated seat option in my SE seats. However, have you also, overcome the occupancy sensor that n , the OE seats?

Any idea of rough shipping costs also, please?

Cheers

I've been looking into some RX8 seats myself - How much work is involved getting them to fit? (In regards to the rails and bolting down etc)
Was there a guide you followed?

Occupancy sensor is sorted with the small plug in module that would come with the seats.
Delivery would be around £50.

Front brackets are easy enough, the back mounts required plates to be bolted down then the seats bolt to the plates. A bit fiddly, but works fine. Make a template out of the original seat base on a sheet of ply or similar and go from there.
