Black Roll Hoop Covers

Post by ben g » Tue Mar 26, 2019 4:48 pm

To fit E85 Z4's. Black roll hoop covers (I think it's the factory finish, as the insides are also black).

They have holes in to fit wind deflector mounting brackets.

They have a few marks on, which I have tried my best to photograph. Will benefit from a respray.

A few clips have a snapped off, but should still fit fine.

I have tried to capture the worst part of the inside of one of the covers. It will be hidden by the seat headrest, but could be filled in if needed.

Price: £15 posted.

These photos show the actual colour better. The previous photos were taken under cool led lights, hence the washed out look.

If the first set of photos are not representative, I'd delete them. They're not doing you any favours. Just need another daylight photo, without shadows, to highlight the marks a little better maybe.

Yeah that's a good point. I did think the photos turned out a bit rubbish after uploading them. Will take some out in the daylight tomorrow if it's nice and sunny

Either way, 15 quid for a full set of covers is pretty cheap (even if I do say so myself)  I was going to fit them to my own Z4, but decided to keep the grey ones on, to match the paintwork.

I was contemplating a yellow zed, in which case I would have these. But I got a black zed instead...

Don't know about fitting, but apparently a great PITA to remove.
Ask me again when the weather's been reliably nice enough for me to spend the day outside with the roof down, fitting the OEM windbreak panels :(

They just clip on. I swapped one of my covers that had a huge scratch on a while ago. Just need to take care removing the old ones.

As Ben says but I watched Mike at the Zed a Shed fit my yellow ones yesterday. Rather than careful he had to be pretty savage to get the old ones off!
