225/40/18 Tyres

Post by kis » Wed Feb 06, 2019 7:43 pm

Want some part worns for the front of the Zed. Currently using 225/45 and getting rubbing.
Only for use over this winter type period. New rubber is going on the replacement wheels in the summer.

Figured if anyone wants to get new rubber and offload their current ones? After a pair from a mid range to premium brand. Contact me and we can discuss!

I'm interested as to why your getting rubbing, is your suspension seriously low or maybe nackered? I'm about to put 225 45 18 on my new m sport suspensioned front so very interested.
Also with winter very nearly over, part worns seem strange and what are you doing with your 45's ?
If you ever think I'm off my rocker.. Just put me back in it and walk away... It's the kindest thing

Hey mate. Probably low because it’s knackered!!

It’s only right on the edge so probably from being on full lock. I only realised it recently when someone came to collect some wheels and we had a walk around the Zed. So makes me hesitant to take it out. Anyway sorted some rubber now. So all good.

I’ve got my “summer wheels” going on just waiting to get some better weather so I can seal them. Only recently put the rubber on and left them in the shed till all the salt and frost goes.

Welcome to try my 225/45 wheels if you want before I change the rubber over.

So the shiny bit is the wear, it's just between the front wing and the front bumper (where they meet)... hope that makes sense.
The fit is good and suits the car but the rubbing is the only issue...
