Where abouts are you based? I have one in the garage ready for the tip, as I have no use for it.

As for condition, I believe it's good but I wouldn't want to charge anything for it incase its not up to scratch, its only going to get scrapped otherwise.

I’ve got a knocking sound when I turn the steering at very low speed/stationary.

I made a thread about it...

Have you jacked up the front of the car to have a look, you should be able to see play in the rack if you rock the wheels. On your other thread, your guy sounds like he's clutching at straws as you should have been able to see play in the track rod ends. That knocking sound does sound like it's in the column. But without seeing the car it's hard to tell.
I see your in Slough, I don't mind having a look for you if you fancy driving up to me.

Yeh he put it on the ramp and rocked the wheels (moved the steering and looked at the wheel reaction). And said the tack rod and ends need replacing which he did. I think he saw play and assumed it was them. And then when it didn’t fix the issue he looked in more detail at the rack.

Defo mate. Would like to come c u as I did feel he was clutching at straws. Can you pm me details pls? Thanks mate
