The wheels look like reps without the //M in the recess
Might just do that if patriot66 doesn't reply. You live & learn don't you?

Si, what can I say? Thanks mate, I'll get them back on the wheels where they belong. I honestly didn't realise they were wheel related but thanks to everyone on this wonderful forum, I've learnt a lesson. Major  though  .
Cheers,
Dave

4x Wheel M Badges

Post by Mr Tidy » Sat Jan 12, 2019 11:13 pm

BMW seem to have been a bit random deciding what wheels to put the M badges on.

Standard wheels on the E86 Sport were MV2s which had the badges. 108s were a cost option, but didn't have them. :?

Oh well at least you can keep your MV3s original OP.
Coupes because stunning!
Current - Silver Grey MC, Imola Red heated Nappa & carbon trim. Aeros, H & R Coil-overs, 224s, OE Strut brace, Nav, cup-holders, DSP Hi-Fi, pdc, cruise, MFSW, no CDV! E90 330i daily
Gone - Montego Blue
Gone - Ruby Black

Could be random but thinking logically MV1s were fitted to Msport spec 3 series , at the time when 108s were fitted to Z4s the Z didn't have a "Sport" model ? The Mv2s Msport were never a option on the pre Si Zs , they came with the introduction of sport spec Zs

4x Wheel M Badges

Oh right - that might be how it happened if there was no "Sport" model Z4 until the facelift.

My nephew has an E46 Sport Touring that came with MV2s and I'm sure they have the M badge. My E46 Compact had Style 97 17" wheels but they had the M on them too. Got to make the customers feel like they are getting something for their money!

All MV2s will have the Msport badges , they weren't fitted to Z4s though until the facelift sport models were introduced
