You old Zed looked great Jem and that’s a good comparison between a Zed fitted with and without aero skirts  They’re quite a subtle mod but really enhance the Zeds already gorgeous shape. I think they’d look stunning painted in sepang bronze on your //MC :D
I agree Jem, it would look like this :D
Wow, stunning car!!! :o

What alloys are those?

A
Thanks Attilio, as Rally-Chris said regarding the alloys.

Any details on the specs/fitment? I don't seem to be able to find a 19 staggered (8,5 & 9,5) fitment for the M... :?

Team Dynamics made up the wheels to the Offset that the previous owner specified, I'm not sure what the specs are. I have been meaning to dig out the paper work to have a look, I'll get on with doing that and let you know :)

Aero side skirts?

Post by Babw » Mon Jan 14, 2019 9:27 pm

Spoke to the boss of the carbon manufacturing company earlier and have forwarded him some photos of the aero skirts. He's going to price up FRP and FRP + carbon but would need 10 buyers. It's possible for him to make in full dry carbon however I think the cost would be prohibitive on this platform (£1200+).

I personally would be happy with just FRP and maybe an even more aggressive design taking the OEM aero as a starting point. He should hopefully be able to forward me some CAD diagrams within the next week.

If someone with aero skirts is kind enough to be able to go to the facility in Warrington then that would make the outcome even better than modelling them from images.

I would prefer the OEM parts but if the price difference makes sense then FRP would just do fine. As per the design, I would stick to the OEM shape.

Keep us posted!

OEM skirts are made of FRP, if some owners wanted a carbon skin over it for aesthetics then that could be accommodated.

I guess we’ll wait to see if some OEM sets can be sourced first before exploring the aftermarket further.

Aero side skirts?

Put me on the list, after seeing jembos old Maldives with them on it's made me want them more :)
Been keeping an eye out for a while now.
I maybe able to get contacts in a fibreglass company to see if they can make a mold of a set, and potentially a vacuum forming company if the re-run doesn't go ahead.

Thanks... following up...

Only thing to note is when getting in & out, more care’s needed as more easy to catch with shoes... something felines need constant reminding of when entering the conveyance
