Unless you need the cash, like to suggest considering to keeping them for whenever you may come to sell, as often you wouldn’t get too much more with CSL’s fitted, whereas selling CSL’s separately with a car in org spec would yield more... just a thought.

Maybe true if they were OEM silver... but not as black IMO

Nice set of wheels Chris. I'm interested, but a bit concerned about the tyre sizes. Can I ask a dummies question?

I'm a noobie so please forgive me. If I'm not mistaken the OE size for a Z4 (non M model) is 225/40/18 at the front and 255/35/18 at the rear. Yours, having 45 series at the front and 40 at the rear has a bit more side wall. This obviously fits your Z4M, but did this cause any rubbing issues? Would these be a straight fit onto a 3.0Si ?

I have previously ran these on a non M car without issue

You also have the added reassurance since they're not new tyres (so already slightly smaller in overall diameter).
Then when you're down to wear indicators you can always switch back to OEM sizes :)

Perfect - sounds like the guys answered your questions for me :)

I have to say, since fitting the CSL's its made me realise how much better these felt on the road!

Hummmm - I was about to invest in new rubber for my new 19”ers.

I think I’ll wait till next year, see if I like the ride then go from there

Thanks for confirming that Tyreman. Was yours lowered or standard ride height?

That car was standard ride height.

Is there any chance you'd be able to measure the inside diameter of these please?
I'm just trying to figure out if they'll clear my brakes!

I saw a pic on here the other day of an E89 with 224s.
Not sure on the model or exactly where on the forum it was though.
Edit. Found it in this thread

That's fine but they don't have four piston calipers and 370mm front discs
I need an absolute minimum of 410mm inside the wheel to clear everything

Not sure how much the photos help as the diameter decreases inside the wheel - perhaps someone more technical than me can advise?

I'm not sure if I'm answering the right question, but the diameter decreases because the inside face tapers to allow it to come out of the mold. It's called draft.

That's ideal thank you. Looks like the measurement nearest the face of the wheel is between 400 and 410mm which I think won't quite clear everything unfortunately!
