3.0i - 300mm front discs, calipers and pads – upgrade 2.0i, 2.2i, 2.5i PRICE DROP

Post by JSz4 » Mon Nov 12, 2018 8:01 pm

For sale two 300mm front discs, calipers and pads from my 2003 BMW Z4 3.0i.

I bought the car in September 2016 on 80k and the service history shows that the front discs/pads and caliper were replaced on 77k.

A year later on 86k I decided to upgrade to the 325mm front discs, pads and calipers from a later model 3.0si and removed the standard setup.

Having done approximately 9k miles all parts are in excellent condition with very little signs of wear. Few small marks on the reverse side of one disc. Garage lost one of the pad springs when removing the brakes so I have purchased a pair of pagid pad springs which are included.

I understand that the 300mm discs/pads and calipers are great upgrade for the 2.0i, 2.2i and 2.5i since it massively improves braking performance but enables owners to keep their stock 16" alloys and maintain a good front-rear brake bias.

Thanks guys, I'll see what other BMWs they fit and try them on eBay with other BMW models listed.

Yeah I'm pretty surprised too especially since calipers, discs and pads are very new, thought it would be really popular upgrade for the 2.0, 2.2 or 2.5

Apologies for the very slow response, been away.

Probably going to try on eBay £140 starting bid as should fit wide range of BMWs but willing to do them for £130 delivered for quick sale before I list them next week

Going to finally get round to listing these on eBay if no one here is interested.

Any suggestions as to where I can find which BMW models they will fit in addition to the Z4?

I'm guessing the E46 might be the obvious choice, but that size of disc seems to be unique to the Z4.

E46 330s must have had bigger discs because they all run at least 17" wheels. And it probably doesn't help that any E46 Sport has 17s or 18s anyway, so if you were going to upgrade one of those you might as well go bigger than 300mm discs.

Hope you get them shifted though.

Ok thanks for the advice, listed them now, surprised they didn't sell on here as thought they'd be popular upgrade for 2.0, 2.2 or 2.5

Think they fit Z4 (03-09). Z3 (99-03) and 3 Series (90-07) E36 & E46 316 318 320 323 325 328

Cheers
