E85 engine undertray

Post by Brontasnortypig » Sun Oct 21, 2018 1:29 pm

:( Thought I'd be clever and use a local BM 'specialist' for last service. Big mistake - expensive and crap + I now find they didn't refit the undertray. So I need one. Can get an aftermarket one on fleabay but rather have OE.
:) Time for a plug for BMWman in Heanor who I (and a few members) now use. They are very good. Fair, straight and really know their stuff. Highly recommended.
So if you've got an undertray please let me know. Cheers.

Yes, asked garage but of course they claim they fitted it. Obviously I must have forgotten that I crawled underneath to undo fastenings and then drive down a motorway so the tray would fall off without me noticing. The garage is crap - it was my fault for using them. I'll just replace the tray.

That's great - I'm sure I could arrange to collect. Whereabouts are you and what do I owe you? Thanks again.

markplant,
Thanks Mark.
I think the tray illustrated is for 03 - 05 year models as I believe my 55 reg has a large front and smaller rear section with no hatch. Much appreciated though. Hopefully may now be sorted.

Gjm91, I'm sure there are very good Indys out there and mine was a bad experience. It's a lesson though - who expects to check something like an undertray has been refitted? I've had many cars serviced or repaired and never had something so obvious happen.
