Hi all,

Looking for a set of winter tyres for an E86 coupe, preferably with rims. Does anybody have a set for sale? Will travel to pick up.

Cheers,
Nick

Winter tyres - E86 coupe

I have a set of BMW X1 17" steel wheels with Pirelli Winter Tyres, bought to clear brakes on an M135i... never tried them on a Z4... i'd imagine they would fit?

Specs as follows:
7.5x17"
ET34
BMW Genuine: 36116783330
225/45/17 Tyres if I remember correctly

Would these be of interest? Welcome to give them a try.

Nick,

I have a set of staggered 18" Style 32s with Falken HS449 winters on them.

I bought them last year, but never used them as I put winters on my daily and just used that when the weather was awful. If something was going to go wrong I was happier having my Z4 parked at home!

Anyway although they were apparently an E46 wheel, the sizes are exactly the same as 18" E86 wheels. 8J x 18 ET47 fronts and 8.5J x 18 ET50 rears with 225/40 x 18 and 255/35 x 18 tyres respectively.

They've been refurbed in black at some point, and while they have a few marks the tyres are very good.

PM me if you might be interested, and if you send me an e-mail address I'll get some photos to you.

Cheers, Iain.

Winter tyres - E86 coupe

Im based near Oxford,

Apologies for the rookie question, but should I be purchasing separate winter tires and getting them fitted onto my alloys or should I buy a set of different alloys with winter tires on?

It would be much easier if you have a spare set of rims with the winter tyres on, and you have the ability to swap wheels yourself at home. You'll struggle to get more than three tyres in a coupe so if you have to get tyres swapped over twice a year it will be a right faff getting the tyres to your tyre fitter. Also helps keep your summer wheels in nice condition if you don't subject them to winter roads with salt etc.
