You’ll probably end up doing both

Just a matter of time really !

Videoing exhausts/intakes never replicates what you get in real life.

For example, here’s an S54 on velocity stacks...sounds like you could live with it day to day, but in real life you’d be scared of using full throttle without wearing earplugs.

Trigger’s Z4MC
Some bits now over 163,000 miles, some less than 1,000 miles.

It's simply the best affordable mod you can do on the M.

You've gotta hear it in the metal to believe the noise. The s54 isn't complete without a Gruppe M or similar. Get a ride in one with it fitted and you'll understand  :driving:

The shell bearings are only worth doing once you get into the 90-100k point.

Not everyone will be there and for many these cars are 2-5k per year cars so enhancing that experience for £600 is pretty good value IMO.

Some people have found significant bearing shell wear at 50k miles and others have failed at far less than 90-100k. I swapped mine at 50k and they were fine but I’ll swap them again at 100k miles. The financial consequences of spinning a shell far outweigh the cost of changing them.

As for an induction kit, it’s well worth the money - it was one of the first modifications I made to my Zed.

Ye but your car is used a lot harder than the majority of cars. Most are just weekenders.

 2 weeks into ///M & " i will be keeping the car totally stock " is looking iffy :P :D adding a Gruppe should be the first thing any M owner does imo  think S54 pulling hard in 2nd - 3rd & 4th , , you like it now  then imagine the noise intensified & multiplied :)
it turns a already angry engine into demented
Hahahaha

I’m tempted but think I’ll hold out for a CSL Carbon airbox
