Hi all,
Iv got an 04 with 90k miles on the clock. As far as I'm aware the springs/shocks have never been touched. I love the z4 but the ride is very firm and I feel every bump on the road. My 08 golf is a dream in comparison and so I'm looking to change my setup...
Hit me with what you got...
Regards

I've got Bilstein B4 on the front and B6 on the rear all with standard springs, Running 18s with MIchelin PS4 non runflats.
Car behaves very well, Firm but enough comfort, sticks to the road and very confident in the corners.
Would like to drop it 30mm just for looks but the ride suits me,
Nearly forgot, running 12mm spacers up front and 20mm on rear, gives a lovely stance.

any reason why youve differentiated between the front and the rear? how does it affect the ride?
any pictures of your zed - i may just copy your set up!

With the very firm ride, has your car got Run Flats fitted not forgetting what tyre pressures are you running - those two factors will increase the ride firmness.
Don't forget though that the Z4 is meant to be a sports car, hence a more firmer ride. Suspension set ups can go from Cruiser to Bruiser.
European cars suspension is changed to suit British rough roads!
