I know it's a bit of a long shot... but as per title.
I had a blow-out on one of my rears yesterday in my 3.0Si
When you call the AA you basically have to accept any tyre if they can get you one. So, I had to accept a DAVANTI tyre at £80 plus because by the tyre mobile tyre fitter was going to get to me at just after 5pm an 'out of hours call out fee' of £100!
So, for £180 I've basically got a new budget tyre which is off no use to me because I have Goodyear AS2's on all the other three corners.
Don't know if anyone has got the odd 255 35 18 going? Part-worn is ok because the other one is as well.
Thanks in advance.

I have a spare 225/40/17 after my E46 blew one and I replaced the pair. Not really much help to you though.

Just my luck! Cheers!
On the upside...
I've been reading some reviews on these Davanti tyres. Apparently they have really bad wear characteristics. Some chap reckons his wife worn out a pair in just 3000 miles just pottering around!
If that's the case I may just run it and left it catch up with the other AS2 and replace the rear pair at the same time!

Not so sure that’s a good thing mate!! Lol
If you’re favouring the Goodyear’s how about getting a new set and leaving the part worn as a spare? It’s what I’ve done in the past!

I think in reality that's what I'm going to have to do.
As an aside, does anyone know if AS3s look (visually) very different from AS2s? AS3 seem to be more readily available now and cheaper.
My front AS2s have very little wear so I rather keep them.

I think the AS3 don't have a lip. The AS2 have a larger lip and give more rim protection? Don't think the 3's offer this? Could be wrong tho! I've only every owned the AS2. Otherwise they're a newer tyre and should be some sort of improvement over the 2's. Probably why the 2's are expensive as they're the very last of the stock they have left?
