The jack from a 3series e46 does the job.

I use the one from my old Mazda6. Fits perfectly and is plenty strong enough for the Zed. Alas none of the other old jack's I have fit the points properly, or you could have one

Also early Mini Cooper S jacks can be picked up for reasonable money and come in a bag.

Yes, E46 jack will fit fine.

I bought a 17" spacesaver, jack and wheel-brace from a forum member who had sold his Z4, ready for when I switch to non-RFTs.
Coupes because stunning!

Hi folks. Thanks for the heads up. When you say fit do you mean to facilitate jacking or to store in the boot?

I have Jack's I can use to raise the car at home, just want the piece of mind for that dreaded day on the side of the road!

The e46 jack locates in the jacking points.

I went to my local scrapyard and he had hundreds of jacks so after a little rummaging around to find a bmw one I got one that was in mint condition and all for the rather high price of £5! what you want is one that has a rectangular pad on it that fits the jacking point under the car.
I secure it in the boot with the Velcro straps that are there (e89)
