Digidick wrote: Tue Jan 30, 2018 11:17 amBack up for sale guys, these ain’t for me.
Probably worth mentioning here that the reason Digidick pulled out is because he spotted a buckle in one of the wheels which I totally missed.

The wheel is now in repair, but this advert does not show a true reflection of where the wheels are at from a sales perspective. He also made some comments about other bits such as holes for the nuts not being clean. I think I need to give them the proper treatment before selling. To be fair I just rushed.

Unlikely now I’ll sell them on here, but might put a fresh post up with better pics and the fixed buckle etc. If I could I would just delete this thread, but don’t think you can do that (or I can’t seem to work out how if you can)?

If anyone is interested before I stick them on eBay drop me a PM and we can negotiate a price.
Hand up - genuine oversight and rectified immediately, and an honest post explaining  - this is why (apart from the odd time) buying and selling here makes sense.

I'd love to see more pics of the areas that were brought to light so to speak, and then also see pic of it when repaired. I'm currently still too low on spare funds so to speak but would still like to see progress on the off chance a client actually pays me on time for a change  (IT Freelance is a pain chasing payments sometimes)

How bad is, or was the buckle? Are they now repaired and back for sale?

Fancying a change, but before anyone asks, I will be keeping the 224's, just fancy another look for a bit..

Can you attach a bigger pic of your car wearing them?

Mike?

Hi Mike - the buckle wasn't severe. I've had it fixed and would say it's 99% perfect now. I don't think you can get 100% bang on after they have had a buckle (I could be wrong). I'm going to do a proper cleaning and shining job on them this weekend...some of the comments made by the previous person interested I think would not be an issue with a proper clean (area around the nut holes for example).

Below are a few bigger images - you should follow me on Instagram...loads of images there.

Mike, if you look at the original picture of the back side of the wheels in post #1 I think the buckle(s) are quite clear in the second wheel from the left? Looks like two flat spots to me, at 12 and 4 o’clock positions.

They do look bloody good 😎👍

Sorry Dan I thought the bolt holes looked scratched but I’m guessing they just need a deep clean, I know you had them as winters.

Can't beat a set of black alloys for the winter and back to the 224s in the summer

Yes they are. I still need to give them a proper clean and updated photos, not had time this weekend though.

Would you consider selling rims separate to tyres? The tyres would make mine rub, so would need to buy a new set of winter tyres for them anyway if I decided to go for them?

I would, but don’t want the hassle of removing the rubber so would throw them in for free. PM me if you want some more info. Please read this thread though to ensure you know the full situation.
